Nail The Perfect Cat Face Look With Our Detailed Makeup Guide

Be it face painting events or Halloween parties, cat face makeup stands out as a universal favorite of people belonging to all age groups. You can mimic cartoon cat face makeup in the next party if you have already sported an actual feline face during the last one. All you will need for nailing this look are white face paint, three wedge applicators, pink face paint, grey face paint, grey liquid eyeliner, black liquid eyeliner, pink lipstick and pink lip liner.

  • First you will have to apply some white face paint on your upper lip using the wedge applicator.
  • The face paint should now be rubbed over the upper lip up to your nose and out on each side.
  • Some more white face paint will now have to be applied on your nose and extended across your eyebrows and forehead and between the eyes.
  • Two triangles have to be formed next by pulling the face paint upwards using the wedge applicator one over each eyebrow and with the thick section at the center.
  • Small amount of white face paint will have to be rubbed on each eyelid and extended up to the eyebrows.
  • Pink face paint can be used for covering the tip of the nose.
  • Some pink face paint will also have to be applied beneath each eye up to the top of the upper lip using a wedge applicator. The paint will have to be pulled outward toward the center of the cheekbones starting from the sides of the nose.
  • The next step in cat face makeup is the application of a thin coat of grey face paint around the corner of each eye which needs to be extended down for touching the white paint on the upper lip.
  • The face paint will have to be pulled out toward the edges of the face using a wedge applicator.
  • Black eyeliner can be used for drawing a thin line to the top of upper lip starting from the nose.
  • You can create an illusion of fur and delineate each space while proceeding with cat face makeup by scribbling a thin black line for outlining each white area.
  • A similar black line will also have to be drawn around the outside edges of the grey face paint and on each side of the nose.
  • The white triangles above the eyebrows will have to be delineated using black eyeliner for creating the illusion of ears.
  • Pink eyeliner will now have to be used for pulling thin lines towards the grey face paint from outside of the nose through the pink face paint.
  • Thin lines will also have to be pulled to the edges of the face from the pink face paint and through the grey area using grey eyeliner.
  • You can add to the fur detailing by applying some pink and grey eyeliner between the ears on the forehead.
  • The cartoon cat face makeup can be completed by dabbing on some pink lipstick to cover your mouth.

Irrespective of the type of cat face makeup you are trying out, you should start from the face interior and slowly move out to the edges by blending different colors on the way. The areas surrounding your nose and mouth needs to be highlighted in white so that the minute detailing gets revealed in the best way possible. Face paint or a thin liquid liner can be used for drawing the whiskers once you are done with the rest of the makeup so that they stand out in stark contrast to the rest of the face paint. Although creating feline faces might prove out to be challenging at first, you can definitely nail the ultimate look coupled with a few practices which is bound to turn heads in every single party you attend.
